For the past 2 years, New Jersey District was the top district in per member giving, and this got us five $2,000 scholarships each year. We also achieved the President's Challenge. We are off to a slow start this year, but I know we can do it! As of February 29, 2024, New Jersey was at $10.21 per member, with 16 clubs having given annual club gifts. That put us in 9th place. An extra $10,000 could get us in 1st place though. We need 42 clubs to give to achieve the Presidents Challenge this year. IF EVERY THA T HASN'T GIVEN COULD MAKE EVEN A SMALL CONTRIBUTION, WE COULD ACHIEVE THE PRESIDENT'S CHALLENGE, and GET CLOSER to 1st Place. WE HAVE ONLY ACHIEVED THE PRESIDENT'S CHALLENGE 3 times IN THE PAST 10 YEARS.
The Kiwanis Children's Fund is the fundraising arm of Kiwanis International. For the past several years, New Jersey has been one of the highest contributing districts per member (1st last year), and this lead to us getting over $12,000 in scholarships last year.
Thank you to the following 17 clubs for their gifts this year (* means that they are above $365): * Asbury Park * * Boonton * Caldwell West Essex * * Edison * Franklin-Somerset * Gloucester * Greater Monroe * Greater WIldwood * The Haddons * Holmdel * * Jackson * * Long Beach Island * North Hunterdon-Clinton * Northfield-Linwood * Sussex * Washington * * West Hudson
